and whose selected representatives are willing to spend ONE HOUR

each month for the school year with a middle school class

in Clarke County Schools as part of

 

Adopt-A-Class is a program of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce and the Clarke County School District.This program, begun in the fall of 2005, introduces students in Clarke County middle schools to all of the different types of jobs available in the area.

An individual company agress to take one hour per month during the entire school year to come to its assigned school to meet with one class and share what the company does and how the skills students are learning now apply to the real world of work and employment.
